Heather Montgomery, Principal
My name is Heather Montgomery, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Hunter Street Elementary School. With 14 years of teaching experience at Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary School, where I taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades, as well as Special Education, I bring a deep passion for student growth and learning. My journey in educational leadership has included serving as the assistant principal at both Jefferson Elementary and Cotton Belt Elementary, where I worked closely with students, staff, and families to foster supportive and engaging school communities.
My husband, Kevin, and I are extremely proud of our two sons, Larson and Jackson. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and our three dogs—Reese, Popo, and Rambo—and cheering on Larson as he plays college baseball at North Greenville University. I am grateful to be a part of the Hunter Street family and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with our students, staff, and families as we work together to help every child succeed.

Ashley Yon, Assistant Principal
I am excited to serve Hunter Street as Assistant Principal! I am a proud graduate of Winthrop University and wanted to be a teacher since I was in the first grade because my first grade teacher loved and cared for me so much. I am in my dream job and love what I do every day!
I live in Hickory Grove with my husband, Josh, and two daughters, Addie and Reagan. I love going to the beach, game nights, fishing, and anything else I can do with my family.
