Heather Montgomery, Principal
My name is Heather Montgomery and I am honored to join the Hunter Street Elementary School family as your new principal. With 14 years of teaching experience at Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary School, where I taught 2nd, 4th, 6th grades and Special Education, I bring a deep passion for student growth and learning. My journey in educational leadership includes serving as the assistant principal at both Jefferson Elementary and Cotton Belt Elementary, where I worked closely with students, staff, and families to foster supportive and engaging school communities.
My husband Kevin and I are extremely proud of our two sons, Jackson and Larson. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, relaxing with my family and three dogs—Reese, Popo, and Mac—and cheering on my son Larson as he plays college baseball at North Greenville University. I look forward to building strong relationships and working together to make this a fantastic year at Hunter Street!

Ashley Yon, Assistant Principal
I am excited to serve Hunter Street as Assistant Principal! I am a proud graduate of Winthrop University and wanted to be a teacher since I was in the first grade because my first grade teacher loved and cared for me so much. I am in my dream job and love what I do every day!
I live in Hickory Grove with my husband, Josh, and two daughters, Addie and Reagan. I love going to the beach, game nights, fishing, and anything else I can do with my family.
